Events, Workshops, Etc.

  • Digital Library Collaboration Workshop: This workshop, co-sponsored by the Systemwide Operations and Planning Advisory Group (SOPAG) and the CDL, was developed to lay the groundwork for digital library collaboration among the UC campuses and CDL. March 14, 2008.

  • Digital library services for UC's libraries: These workshops were developed with suggestions from many UC library staff, and with the advice and input of the Systemwide Operations and Planning Advisory Group (SOPAG). May 20-21 and June 3-4, 2004.


  • Digital library developers forum: Modeled on the successful Digital Library Federation forum, this systemwide one-day meeting was co-sponsored by CDL and SOPAG. It gave digital library project managers and developers an opportunity to discuss goals, methods, and technologies.


  • Instruction workshops: These CDL-sponsored workshops for instruction and reference practitioners were designed to introduce and review innovative instructional techniques. January 31, and February 1, 4, and 5, 2002


  • Usability workshops: These workshops were designed to give attendees the knowledge and skills to successfully conduct their own usability tests. November 5 and 7, 2001


  • UC best practices in instruction and reference for digital resources: This one-day workshop was designed to help librarians and others collaborate and share methods, tools, and materials for instruction and reference for digital resources. June 23, 2000


  • Digital library forums: The first forum was structured to provide UC library staff and select others with a venue to share information about digital library goals, strategies, and activities across UC. Spring 1999
